target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDownload PDF\n\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t<p>Regularly carrying out an inventory and inspection of the removable parts of your Mobius Trimmer will extend its service life, prevent failures, and decrease downtime.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mobius recommends performing a parts inventory and detailed inspection at least once per month.<\/strong> You may need to perform this more frequently if you have multiple operators handling the equipment and machine parts.<\/p>\n<p>If any parts are found to be damaged or broken and need to be taken out of service, ensure that they are clearly tagged at the time of the inspection and dispose of them as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\t<h3>HELICAL BLADES<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>No burrs or damage to edges of bearing blocks that cause them to sit up.<\/li>\n<li>No burrs or damage to V-seats of bearing blocks that cause the bed knife to sit up.<\/li>\n<li>All screws on bearing blocks are tight.<\/li>\n<li>No axial\/lateral movement of bearing blocks (radial movement is okay).<\/li>\n<li>Spiral retaining rings present on both shaft ends.<\/li>\n<li>Bearings spin freely.<\/li>\n<li>No nicks or dents on blade edges that would interfere with the bed knives.<\/li>\n<li>Inner plate is lower than outer plate.<\/li>\n<li>Outer plate is flat (ensure the plates aren&#8217;t damaged or have any bulging).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>BED KNIVES<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>No burrs or damage to V-notches that sit on the helical blade bearing blocks.<\/li>\n<li>Blade is fully seated into the extrusion channel.<\/li>\n<li>Adhesive and o-ring are in good condition (i.e. not bulging out or missing in places).<\/li>\n<li>No cracks, dents, or other defects on the edge of the blade.<\/li>\n<li>Bed knife blade makes contact with helical blade along its entire length.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>BRUSHES<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Brush bristles are in good condition.<\/li>\n<li>Brush bristles are all in place.<\/li>\n<li>Retaining clips are present on both ends of the shaft.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>TUMBLERS<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>End caps are in good condition and not separating.<\/li>\n<li>Narrow rings are in good condition and not separating.<\/li>\n<li>Tabs on end caps are in good condition and not cracking or damaged.<\/li>\n<li>All cable rows are present.<\/li>\n<li>Cables are not frayed.<\/li>\n<li>Cables are not kinked.<\/li>\n<li>Tumbler is hydrated enough that there is flexibility in the narrow rings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>SPACER BARS<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>No burrs or damage to
