Where most adjustable dials on almost any piece of equipment run a range of 1-10, ours go a little extra: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">our dials go to 11<\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"212\" style=\"width: 212px; float: left; margin: 0px 25px 5px 0px;\" src=\"https:\/\/f.hubspotusercontent00.net\/hubfs\/4017359\/M180S-Dial-To-Eleven.jpg\" alt=\"M180S-Dial-To-Eleven\">It began back in the early days of Mobius, in 2018. The M108S design was functional and had been tested and proven, but there was still work to be done to make it look a bit more \u201csexy.\u201d The attitude back then was that anything was possible. Good ideas came from everyone on the team, not just the engineers. We were creating something brand new in the industry, and it was up to all of us to make it into what we wanted it to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #003c71;\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">How the conversation started may be lost to history, but it likely had something to do with music.&nbsp;<\/mark><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Director of IT Amanda McKellar is a rocker at heart, so it could have been a conversation around her particular musical tastes.) A music-themed movie came up in our discussion that we all loved, except for one person: CEO Aaron McKellar. He would come to love it but hadn\u2019t yet because he hadn\u2019t seen it. We\u2019re talking about the satirical masterpiece <em>This Is Spinal Tap<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #003c71; font-weight: normal;\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">The favorite scene of many from that movie is the scene where Nigel, the guitarist from Spinal Tap is explaining to Rob Reiner about the dials on their amp. <\/mark><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #003c71; font-weight: bold;\">\u201cMost go to 10, but ours go one further, to 11.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Watch it for yourself:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"hs-embed-wrapper\" style=\"position: relative; overflow: hidden; width: 100%; height: auto; padding: 0px; max-width: 640px; max-height: 394px; min-width: 256px; display: block; margin: auto; text-align: center;\" data-service=\"wistia, inc.\" data-script-embed=\"true\">\n<div class=\"hs-embed-content-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wistia_embed\" title=\"This is Spinal Tap - Amps to 11 Video\" src=\"https:\/\/fast.wistia.net\/embed\/iframe\/muf2pjw18c\" name=\"wistia_embed\" width=\"640\" height=\"390\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br><script src=\"https:\/\/fast.wistia.net\/assets\/external\/E-v1.js\" async=\"\"><\/script><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #003c71; font-weight: normal;\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">We showed the clip to Aaron, and had a laugh about it, But then Johnathan, our sole marketer at the time said,<\/mark><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #003c71; font-weight: bold;\">\u201cWe should make our dials on the M108S go to 11!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 249px; float: right; margin: 0px 0px 5px 9px;\" src=\"https:\/\/f.hubspotusercontent00.net\/hubfs\/4017359\/M210-Dial-To-Eleven.jpg\" alt=\"M210-Dial-To-Eleven\" width=\"249\">And that was it. That\u2019s all it took. It was decided that our dials would go to 11. It was funny, it was an interesting nod to something important, and it was a recognition that Mobius and the Mobius team were doing things their way. If everyone went to 10, we were going to 11. We were blazing our own trail, building new and innovative products for a new industry, and this recognized that anything-can-happen vibe in the early days of the business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fast forward to 3 years later: Mobius has grown from a team of 6 (at that point) to over 100. In addition to our Vancouver HQ, we now have facilities in Ottawa, Grass Valley, CA , Las Vegas, and Denver. We have a complete lineup beyond the <a href=\"https:\/\/mobiustrimmer.com\/en-ca\/mobius-m108s-trimmer\/\" rel=\"noopener\">M108S<\/a>, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/mobiustrimmer.com\/en-ca\/mobius-m210-mill\/\" rel=\"noopener\">M210 Mill<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/mobiustrimmer.com\/en-ca\/the-mobius-m9-sorter\/\" rel=\"noopener\">M9 Sorter<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/mobiustrimmer.com\/en-ca\/mobius-mbx-bucker\/\" rel=\"noopener\">MBX Bucker<\/a>.
