Trimming Product with Your Mobius M108S
Step by Step
01
When you take a standard vacuum and cover the nozzle, you hear vacuum motor speed up because it has something to pull against.
02
The Mobius vacuum pulls air though the hex-screens in the lid and down through the apertures of the TriFlex Blade System.
03
The rubber O-ring cord on the bottom of the lid seals the vacuum system.
04
All the air being pulled by the vacuum must pass though the blade apertures.
Priming the Tumbler
01
Use the onboard tilt-legs to raise the infeed side an inch or 2.
02
Turn on your trimmer with all dials set to 11.
03
With a single layer of material covering your conveyor belt, set your conveyor speed to a fast setting, say around 80, and turn it on.
04
Priming the tumbler requires the operator to move fast so make sure you have plenty of material at hand.
Maintain A Consistent Feed Rate
01
Once the tumbler is primed, turn the conveyor speed down, somewhere between 15 and 30, and maintain a consistent feed rate. Remember, load the belt with a single layer of material for consistent results.
02
Here's a good visual cue to know if your tumbler is full enough, but not too full. At the infeed end of the tumbler, look straight down though the plexiglass top. You should be able to see an inch or 2 of just the rearward blade.
03
If you can see:
1 - 2 inches of the rearward blade through the plexi top at the infeed end, the tumbler is filled to the optimal level.
04
If you can see:
Several inches of rearward blade.
Any of the middle or front blades.
Not enough material in the tumbler.
05
If your trim is a big shaggy:
Use the Tilt-legs to level the trimmer out.
Increase 'Dwell time' of material in trimmer.
Produces a tighter trim.
06
If your trim is too tight:
Raise the Tilt-legs on the trimmer.
Reduces 'Dwell time' of material in tumbler.
Produces a shaggier trim.
07
Ensure to adjust conveyor speed to match 'Dwell time'. Also allow a minute or two to see results of the change your made.
08
If your material is light in density:
Turn vacuum down a bit.
Releases material.
Allows it to travel through & exit tumbler.
